Hi!

The Big Piano Window has two pairs of Arrow Buttons, which let you scroll through the notes of the track that is currently shown in the Big Piano Window. The modes of those already existing arrow pairs are as follows, explained for the example of the attached picture:

Arrow Button Pair 1 (already there):
Next Right Arrow Click => C
Next Right Arrow Click => E
Next Right Arrow Click => B
Next Right Arrow Click => G
Next Right Arrow Click => D
Next Left Arrow Click => G
Next Left Arrow Click => B
Next Left Arrow Click => E
Next Left Arrow Click => C

Arrow Button Pair 2 (already there):
Next Right Arrow Click => C
Next Right Arrow Click => E, G, B
Next Right Arrow Click => D
Next Left Arrow Click => E, G, B
Next Left Arrow Click => C
This mode apparently works through quantization.

Both of these two modes are good to have, but depending on your instrument and the specific part of the score you'd need one - or even better: two - more modes:

Arrow Button Pair 3 (not existing yet):
Next Right Arrow Click => C
Next Right Arrow Click => C, E, G, B
Next Right Arrow Click => D
Next Left Arrow Click => C, E, G, B
Next Left Arrow Click => C
This mode woudld be like Mode 2, but: New quantized events will be shown PLUS notes from former events that have to be held through the new events will also still be shown.

Arrow Button Pair 4 (not existing yet):
Next Right Arrow Click => C
Next Right Arrow Click => C, E, G, B
Next Right Arrow Click => E, G, B
Next Right Arrow Click => B
Next Right Arrow Click => D
Next Left Arrow Click => B
Next Left Arrow Click => E, G, B
Next Left Arrow Click => C, E, G, B
Next Left Arrow Click => C
This mode would be like Mode 3, but: Notes that stop significantly earlier than others will also cause an event.

I've explained this for the Big Piano Window, but it analogously also applies for the Fretboard Window.

Mode 3 and Mode 4 would both supply specific additional values (e.g. for fingering and for a better orientation within the song).

However, if I'd have to decide between both modes:
The most additional value in relation to software scripting time would most probably be supplied with Mode 3, but Mode 4 also has its own value. So I'd like to suggest at least Mode 3 to be added, but even better would be both (Mode 3 and Mode 4) to be added.

I came to this forum in order to suggest feature improvements for non-professional musicians like myself that use BiaB mainly as a playalong tool and as a learning tool
