hello
i'd like to mute the melody or the solo tracks every two mesures ; it should help to work on some standard, and to learn them more deeply.
Is it possible ?

Yes. Press F5 at each bar (measure) where you would like a change to occur. You will see settings for each instrument, where you can choose MUTE or RETURN TO NORMAL.

Seems to be ok, but a bit long.
Isn't it possible to do the same action on a selection of bars ? To be more clear : can we first select some bars and mute them all. I try it, but it seems not to work? It's a pity, it would be so easy .

There is a way to replicate bar settings. I'll look it up later when I get to my BIAB machine.

Hi Pierre,
The Copy from.. to.. function under Edit allows bar settings to be copied from a selection of bars to a different section. I use this all the time to copy verse melodies and chorus melodies/lyrics from one section to another. I experimented with having the only check-box for "bar settings" selected and it did not copy the mute settings nor the return-to-normal settings.
I haven't played around with it too much, but It seems that "bar settings" (under "Edit") only copies A and B style. Someone at PGMusic might have a bit more information on this. Have you tried their help line or live chat, or possibly even an email to them?

I don't know what to say. It works perfectly here, but I did check the Copy Chords box too.
I can also take the mouse, highlight several bars, do a CTRL+C and then a CTRL+V where I want them copied, and the new bars have the bar settings transferred.
Perhaps you should do Opt., Return to Factory Settings and close and reload BIAB to try again.

Is he not trying something like trade 4's. It would be simpler.
..me semble qu'il y a des choses on pouvait essayer.
Les deux le troisieme button une boite ave un P majiscule...
Puis ensuite
deux choses a noter.
1. A gauche au millieux 5 boites...
regarder donc la premiere des 5 "Chord Breaks" en anglais...c'est comme un jeux populaire au Quebec "La Fureur" mais toutes les instruments arretent.
2. En bas de ca le Soloist, trade 4's veut dire que il jouera pour 4 measures, et silence pour ton improv. Alors si vous prenez l'air (Melodie) et le copie aux Soloist, puis gele le Soloist vous pouver aussi esseyer ca.
Comme les autres on commenter, il y a souvent 3 or 4 methodes pour arrriver au meme but.
Excuse encore mon francais de bucheron.

Ah. This sounds like something we should report, then. It seems reasonable that someone would want to copy just the chord settings.
The workaround is to copy the chords and the chord settings, then go to the new section and change the chords (if necessary).
I'm going to post this in the Wishlist. [EDIT: Done.]
