Thank you all so much for taking the time to listen and to comment - it's greatly appreciated and I will pass them on to António.

I'm really pleased overall it had the right feel to it for that era, and that it could pass off as an original Elvis song - maybe I could add some screaming fans to it and pretend it was a live recording :-)

Thanks Babu, I really like the "goodness" description. I think I know what you mean.

Thanks TM, it's a godsend for me, I'd certainly be lost without it, bit like BIAB.

A little de-essing would be good.
It has a def. EP style to it.
The strings could be softer and a little fatter.
Good job.

Thanks Ray, and to add to the mix, António is Portuguese, so I did have to do a phonetic spelling after the first take. And I have now downloaded a de-esser - yet another thing to learn :-)

I visited the link to your project and like what you're doing with the "in the style of" songs.

Enjoyed my listen,

Charlie

Thanks Charlie, it's certainly been an interesting challenge and has given me something solid to work to.

And in this case, António nailed it. Love the break in his voice at "Waiting for you at the phone?".

Anyway, fun listen. Your project sounds really cool.

But "Not by original artists" Is that technically true? wink

And nice work with the strings, too.

Thanks David, you'd think so but it broke 4 other Elvis style singers before him! Technically? I suppose it's a double negative :-)
