Dear 'firesong'...

For me, the sole exception would be 'outside' forces over which one has no control, that intervene to change a person's behavior because he/she cannot protect themselves from such sudden and destructive ruptures in their lives. I am thinking mostly of children (innocents) who live in spirit-withering conditions due to grievous dysfunctions in their family life. [/quote]

bluage...Without getting into along philosophical discussion...I will certainly agree that the ones who have no choice in the circumstances that confront them and are forced to do things they may not "believe in" would seem to be the exception to my statement...freed from such bondage I tend to believe they would then do what they "do believe in"...the discussion of this is far too complex and unwanted for a BiaB forum...I would however be glad to enter into such a discussion if you care to contact me privately...thanks for brining it up and I appreciate your thoughtful comments...best regards...Dan
