For this BiaB would have to take a note of all the decisions it made to generate the last solo and then modify only those decisions which are affected by the changes made to the Soloist settings.

And also wherever randomization was involved in generation of the solo, in the following iteration, the existing solo should be taken as basis instead of the randomization.


I think this makes perfect sense, though I'm not sure how feasible or desirable it is.

Here's what I think would do what you're asking, let me know if I'm not getting it:

1) BIAB generates a solo.

2) You change soloist settings X and Y.

3) BIAB steps through the existing solo, phrase by phrase, and asks, "Do I have to change this phrase to comply with the new settings, or can I keep it as is?" If you change nothing, you get the last solo repeated identically. If you change anything, some phrases will probably have to be changed, though not necessarily.
