You can mute the current count-in then on a midi track right click > Track Settings > Midi Channel > 10
Now in the Piano Roll use ctrl+shft to draw notes where you want the ticks, move note up/do to get the hit you want. The piano roll move is great. I've found that I really don't need to mute the first count-in notes. I just don't think that I should have to go playing around with utility tracks and piano roll in order to use a function that exists in Options. Good workaround, though. Thank you.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
