Wow. What an awesome tune. Super vocal and harmonies Torrey. Marty and Dave were at their finest. Brought the song to life. Boy your harmonies sounded vary familiar in a good way but can't put my finger on it. Maybe a band called Streetheart. Very very cool..

Torrey - a cracker of a song with an excellent melody & a seriously great vocal.
Dave - ace solo and fills that fit the bill.
Marty - in the pocket and on the money
BIAB piano is an excellent fit.
Torrey, which DOD set did you use? I like that one. Did the structure of the DOD track influence the structure of the song? Thanks Ray! I used the Top 40 set. I have a few of their sets and I think that one sounds better than the others. It didn't really change the direction of the tune. I already had it mapped out in my mind ahead of time and was fortunate enough to have what I needed to make it happen. T

Cool song! Good write!
I hear a bit of Leon Russel (mixed with the ever-present Rundgren) plus any number of great influences!!
Beyond the influences - you are a true original.
The use of stops is excellent. Marty's gorgeous bass accentuates them nicely (I thought the bass could be a bit louder). Dave's guitar work is killer. (ALL of your parts are good!)
Excellent vocals and BGVs.
Awesome music. A great listen. Terrific collaboration!!

Thanks Floyd for the positive feedback! I was on the bubble about raising Marty's bass volume, but it seemed to muddy up the track a bit with even a minimal boost! The effects chain in the stereo master track is probably the reason for that. At some point I may try a different preset and see if I might be able to get better results. T

very 70s. v nice thinking went into this.
it reminds me of a canadian band of the past...just cant put my finger on who.
superb lead vocs with oodles of character.
what i like also as well is the way the backing
supports the lead vocs sooo well.
this shows true professionalism.

Very nice Beatles-type of rock song. Doesn't pale when compared to Paul McCartney songs. "so good" really shines all over in the positive lyrics, the super sharp rhythm section, Dave's playing, compelling vocals and in the crystal clear mix.

Such a wonderful song and so well-done, Torrey. Thanks so much for the invite, especially because you could have done the bass even better. Thanks to all who mentioned me in there, but to be clear, the creative part of the bass line was done by the master songwriter, Torrey Bliss. Love everything about this. No one has mentioned ELO. Torrey your songs remind me of all the things I like about that band without all the things I didn't. Brilliant. Thanks Marty! I appreciate your willingness to help on this so much! Yes, I did let you know kind of what I had in mind for some of the bass lines, but the fact remains that you played them and did it in excellent fashion! Your bass always sounds great and I was proud to have it on this tune! T

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
