Man, what a great song. Kinda tells my story, I've always had that dreams of making it, but now at almost 70, I need to face reality. But enough about me, I love this song!!

Janice: When Bud first saw this post a few days ago he came to me in the dining room and said, “You’re going to love floyd’s new song.” So, I stopped what I was doing and read the lyric and got all teary eyed. Then I listened three times in a row and was happily singing along with my favorite lead singer.  This is a beautiful lyric and melody and your phrasing is just amazing. Soul to the max. Bud: While we are speaking of max I’ll throw in the fine band and mix. And steels and banjos with a synth pad … who would’ve thunk? J&B: Another very, very hi bar production mr jane! Another well produced tune. You are so good with your structure! Nothing crazy, but everything is very well thought out. Nice romantic lyrics. Phrasing was mentioned, and I will echo these positive remarks. Excellent vocals! Banjo was a good fit. Mix is clear. Easy listen. Thank you for sharing.

Hi floyd,
This is a magnificent write, performance and presentation. It's one of your best.
I love the premise that big dreams are dependent on how you define them. You've used this idea to create a very powerful lyric.
As I listened, hints of Bobby Goldboro kept drifting in and out of my mind. I'm not quite sure why. I'm going to have to go back and re-listen a few times to try and work it out.
This is truly top-shelf listening.

A constant flow of very strong songs from your hand. And in a way classic, because all are so recognizable yours.
Therefore lovely songs!
This one is no exception and especially wonderful in the chorusses / harmonies!
And I haven't mentioned the strong lyrics yet.
On the other hand, after I wrote this to you I had that strange feeling I have written it before...
