Ok, I will try "unclean."

I think on my synth, each instrument is a separate channel. It's supposed to be sending
KB info on channel 1. However, I noticed that channel #2 is getting some spurious data.
65535 ticks long? Boy, that's really weird ! ! It's the biggest a 16 bit integer can get !

So, is it standard for percussion data to be 0 ticks duration? Too bad we don't have a way to filter those out, since are are dealing with notes that DO have a non-zero duration. A cymbal or tympani roll would have a non-zero duration though.

The filter option on RECORD does not provide a way to distinguish notes that are of zero or non-zero duration, as far as I can tell.

Thanks for your suggestions. I especially like the idea of a "cheapie" MIDI keyboard.

I will try everything I can.
