I keep having a problem for which I have not yet found a simple solution: How can I easily make a melody on the melody track that is notated in even eighths into a melody with a swing feel, i.e. played in triplet. And vice versa. It would be great if changing an even style to a swing style would automatically swing the melody as well - at least optionally.
At the moment, an even melody that I set in BiaB or import as a MIDI file to the melody track retains this even if I then load a swing style to it. This leads not only to the fact that the accompaniment swings while the melody plays straight, but also to a confusing notation, where I have to move note by note by hand to the correct triplet line. I'm sure it's the case, as it so often is, that there's a simple solution to this in Band in a Box that I just haven't found in the last 20 years, right?
