sceptical bout plug in daw amp stuff.
ive found they are ok for clean sounds , but often
fall down on classic overdriven stuff.

heavy free geetar plug in called "freeamp".

would be curious if you could get those classic tones out of it....eg shads
its a vst plug in. ive had some happy accidents with it and sometimes combining with other plug ins.
but a fast cpu is needed.
