Man, that was heartfelt and uplifting in the extreme! A real anthem for old buskers, whom I'm sure will especially appreciate it. You did a terrific job on this.
I wasn't so sure about the delay on the vocal, but listening a third time, I think I liked it. It's very soft, and I think that was a good choice.
Lyrics were great!!

This is a great song. I loved the vibe you captured with it. Very well written. Your vocal performance is very good and touching. Your instrument playing is good. The band, as if it needs saying, is very good too. Nice one.
p.s. The cover art is really good too. Did you draw it?

Hi, Gary. I like this - good narrative that draws me in, story that moves along, and interesting details to give it life. Your voice is fine. My favorite line: I said "can you play a Dylan song - to help me find my way?" He said "son, I'll play them all for you - this is your lucky day" The vocal sounds a bit compressed or over-processed, but I don't have the ears to tell exactly what I'm hearing. (It's not the delay). I've only got two pedantic nits, and I should preface my remarks by saying that plenty of successful songs have broken these rules, so they don't carry any weight in the real world: First, the POV changes from "I" at the beginning to an omniscient narrator describing what the busker is doing. The second is just a pet peeve of mine, where language is forced into an unnatural format to make something fit: If only I did realise. There's no real harm in either of these. Fun song!

Gary,
A well painted character telling his story. Good perspective.
A good gathering of instruments for an interesting sound. The EZKeys piano drives it well. Good mix. I think the compression on the vocal works - a lot of today's music includes heavily compressed vocals. Well sung.
Keep 'em coming.

Gary,
Great lyrics, song and vocal!
"Reluctant Vocals (I am not a singer)" I hate to disagree with you, but that vocal is excellent! As for the processing, I will leave those critiques to others. I hear an echo following each line and if that's what you intended, it works for me!
Overall, a great production! Thanks, Torrey

Gary, there is nothing wrong with you voice, it sounds great to me.
Super story, loved the lyrics, and the supporting tracks.
Loved it.

Gary...first of all the picture for the song is really good...with artistic talent like that you don't have to write songs...and yet...you do! Loved the song...its structure, arrangement, form and storytelling...nice vocal performance and harmonies...everything was a great package.

Gary,
Engaging from the first note . . . and the vocal is warm and inviting. I like the reverb/delay on the lead vocal—gives some nice touch to the song. Catchy chorus as well. Nice write, too. Good stuff—
Kindest regards,
Deej

Hi Gary, I like your song ! It reminds me some personal memories. When I was young, I was busking in London, at Piccadilly Circus. And a mother asked me to play " Mr Tambourine man " for her son. I just knew the chorus and I played it... Your song is very melodic and fluid. Congratulations. Christian

"Have at it" - a slight development of "have at thee" from Bill Wobblestick. The lyric is a very interesting story and it works pretty well...there are a couple of spots where it's slightly stilted laguage but poetic lic. is important otherwise the language wouldn't develop. Your singing is quite good and your performance quite "proper". The delay seemed a bit much for the 1st verse but I was used to it & it was more "absorbed" as the band filled in the spaces. Good one!

A well-built song, Gary. I like how you brought so many dynamics to play. I'll admit to not having heard the term busker man, although as it turns out I've known many. Great harmonies, and the perfect band in a well-balanced mix. Can't imagine makin this any better.

Nice!
You sell yourself way too short regarding the vocal. It sounded fine as did the entire production.
Great story and art and we enjoyed it all!

Hi Gary,
I like this song very much! Nice story, a very nice band and the singing is done very good! I only thought (somewhere after 1,5 minute) that your vocals were too monotone. And while I was thinking that, you continued the song 'in an overdrive' where your vocals varried much more. That gave the song such a twist that I noticed by myself I then liked your whole song. So the build-up of the song was very good (after all).
Have a nice day, Hans
