That's a lovely version Anne-Marie. I'm not a fan of JW's versions but your version, (of her version), is wonderful.
I was lucky enough to see Laugh'n Lenny on his last tour of Australia. He really was powerful, funny and serious as well as being incredibly gracious to his band.
My sister & I saw him together - magic moments to share.
I particularly enjoyed the slight Piaf vibrato you used straight after the spoken section.
An excellent video to illustrate the very sad tale too.
