Hey Scott, I agree. For me the cello has a haunting even foreboding quality to it and that RealTrack is superb.

There is an acoustic piano RealTrack present but in the foreground is me playing 3 notes (A, C & D) on a simulated vibraphone. This is the first time I've incorporated a keyboard voice into an arrangement. For any Korg Krome users out there it's voice U-A041. I now see why the Korg designers provided 2 audio outs; 1 for recording and the other to monitor. For me, this opens up a whole new territory that further blurs what is BiaB and what is not.

So I ended up with 3 tracks in Audacity to mix; the BiaB "hub" (cello, drums, guitars, piano, strings), the vibraphone track and my bass.

So much music to explore . . . so little time.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.
