Hi Mario, Scott, TuneMonger, Janice and Bud and AudioTrack,

Thanks for listening and posting your comments. Always curious what people write about your song and luckily never got disappointed.
But therefore this is a very nice forum.

Very clever instrumentation! Super mix of RTs. Super vocal!
Everything about this shines!

Mario, thanks for what you said, but I got a bit disappointed (!) you tell me to throw away all other versions. I can asure you, there are some beauties in these versions, in fact all of them. And now you tell me to get rid of them. But your post is a huge compliment for me with this one. I thank you for that! And by the way; I had no plans bringing all 6 versions to the forum ;-).

Scott, thanks for your reply! It was a coincidence I came to this Latin sound. I was working on 4 versions, almost at the same time. Then got a bit enough of it and tried something bold; a reggae style. Sounded horrible, but in the chorus I heard a bit of Latin. That I worked out in a 'normal' style and there it was. You know I like to experiment on things, like you.

TuneMonger, thanks for these kind words. I thought I could use the same lyrics for all the versions, but that was a wrong assumption.
Because of the difference in styles the lyrics were altered a bit or even a lot. It was a fun 'experiment' to make 6 versions and your rely underlined that! I had the idea of making 12, but I lost my drive for that. Better make something new...

The fiddle and vibes were very special and as always the drums were excellent in the mix.
We are long time fans of your melodies and vocals and you delivered excellent ones again.
Have fun with the versions but it'll be difficult to top this one!

Janice and Bud, I appreciate what you wrote! It's the same in reverse, not to be polite, but it's really true. And I like your 'experiments' with very old songs or gospels. So nice. Once in a while I made songs on the relation of my son and his Mexican girlfriend Not expecting it would end so suddenly. But now I have songs from the beginning till the end. But I'm sure you would like one or two other versions as well. Maybe even more...

Audiotrack, Thanks for this observation! I especially like your comment about the lyrics. It's always a challenge writing in another language!

So, I wish you all a pleasant day and we meet again through our songs,
Hans

Hi Birchwood,

I don't know the other versions but this one is particularly successful in terms of the instruments chosen and the melody and lyrics. It's really mixed. Well done.

Kindly regard

This is a big change from last month's version. Sounds totally different. I really like what you did with it. I like the original too. I don't prefer one over the other. Good stuff.

I like this version. It does have a Latin touch. Good dance music.

Cool concept - same song 12 different ways.
