Dear Dr Gannon, dear PGMusic staff,

Maha and I are pleased and honoured to be among the 2021 winners, and we want to thank everybody at PGMusic so much for it.

Whenever I try to explain to friends what BIAB means to me, I get amazed looks. Because that’s what I tell them and that’s what it is:it is: The only software I cannot replace by any other app. The only software that can lift me up or at least divert me for hours, even when times are bad. It’s definitely something that I wouldn’t want to miss, maybe even couldn’t miss.

I gave up brooding over how in the world BIAB works long ago - especially the soloist function remains a sheer miracle to me.

I remeber that I was already stunned by version 1 of BIAB. But when I returned to it after many years I couldn’t trust my eyes and ears - what an incredible, yes: ingenious development. And waiting for the next version is still exciting, the feeling that I get when I can finally check the list of new features always reminds me a bit of how I felt on Christmas Eve as a boy smile ...

Beyond all those wonerful musical experiences this forum has brought me some very precious personal contacts and even friedships which I am incredibly grateful for.

I want to congratulate all the winners - I do know that most of you wouldn’t change a thing if there wasn’t such an award, but I’m sure you’re all proud that your work (and, heck, there are so many musical and lyrical gems being posted here) is being valued and cherished this way. Well, I am...
