I've been trying to rationalise my plugins by moving them all to one area and putting links to them from the old location where it seems appropriate/necessary.

Most of it has gone fine after a few setup actions on programs.

I've organised them thus:
F:/Samples/VST2
F:/Samples/VST3
F:/Samples/VirtualMIDISynth (I'll likely move that)
F:/Samples/Native Instruments
... and some other similar stuff.

I get some error messages that suggest there's something about this setup that upsets some applications, but I don't presently understand what or why. In BiaB flash messages I get them like:
Quote:
Error: Could not connect to plugin (F:\Samples\VST2\VSTSynthFont64.dll). Reason is unknown. It is possible that this is not a VST 2 plugin, or it is not installed properly

for thas synth, some from VirtualMIDISynth and Native Instruments/Kontact/"REX shared library...". I have tried reinstalling the two synths to those locations, but the errors remain.

Any ideas or suggestions, please?

Gordon.
