They really needed some reverb on the voices. Both good singers. The guy plays the guitar good too. You know them Bob?

I wish I knew them. From the interviews I've seen, they're really down to earth people. Husband and wife team who met at a songwriters convention.
Their CD is "Joey and Rory, The Life of a Song". They had at least one hit off the CD called "Cheater, Cheater". I bought the CD a couple of months ago and I've listened to it numerous times since then. Great stuff.

They were on the "Can You Duet" TV show in Nashville. I see they were also just at the ACM Awards on Sunday night, so they must be doing ok, lol. Not sure if they won anything?
They seem to be genuine people and I hope they are successful. That lil lady can sing like Loretta Lynn, no kidd'n. The husband is the songwriter though.

Josie, One of the things I love about this cut is that it sounds like it would if they were sitting in the living room playing. The YouTube version is exactly the same version on their CD, (chatter and all). To my ear, I can't hear any effects at all. The rest of the album has recordings that are more "studio" like, but I think they were going for bare bones on this one. If you get a chance, check out their other songs. They only have one CD at this point. "Cheater, Cheater" was a pretty good hit for them. It was a little more commercial, but still a fun song. These two are great, no doubt. Bob, I'm glad you shared. I really like her voice. I am not in any way devaluing their talent. I just don't like the choice of her mic. It's a fine mic for him. I just don't think it does her voice justice. I don't hear this as transparent "bare bones" as you do which is why I don't like that mic on her. As good as she is singing through this, to me, a mic more suited to her voice would have made it even better. Just my opinion. We can agree to disagree. grin.
