This is a WASAPI error. I think this is a an invalid audio device error, which might have been caused by an audio interface getting unplugged. The code that Jim referred to (9997) is different and is an informational message about the input and output sample rates not matching. This is fairly common and is of no concern unless you will be recording audio. In that case, you should go into the Windows control panel - Sound Settings, and adjust the sample rate settings.
