For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Rob and Anne-Marie,
Many thanks for the kind words.
This first melody was 3 times the effort but 5 times the satisfaction smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Very nice melody and bass!

Nice blend

Experimenting with BiaB is fun isn't it

Two thumbs up

I arrived early to a restaurant.
The manager asks, "do you mind waiting a bit?"
I said no.
"Good", he said. "Take these drinks to table 3"

It's evident that you put a lot of thought and effort into this, BT. The results speak for themselves. Looking forward to your next offering. smile

Nice track. Smooth melody that works. I always wondered how people named instrumentals. :-) Good Job !!

Thanks guys, my journey across Lake Melody has begun. Not sure how deep the waters are but I guess I'll find out. smile

Henry, in my case I try to name my instrumentals after they are created and as I listen to them. In this case the feel to me is sadness and melancholy so a theme of friends that have passed away seemed to fit. And for those still with us you can never fully go back. The rivers of time keep flowing us to our final ocean. The bridge indicates a fruitless attempt to "rebel" against the flow. But that's the beauty of music . . . you can create a different theme that works for you.

Dark 2-chord figure drops in at 1:25 for a nice dramatic contrast. Powerful rhythm guitar there. You could have built those few seconds out into a whole section, maybe with an extended solo of some sort.

Thanks guys.

Mark, I wish I could take full credit for intentionally designing a "dark 2-chord figure drop" from my mastery of music theory but alas, I'm not that gifted. What's a poor-man's substitute for music college? . . . hunt and peck until something sounds non-awful smile

Ronnie, keep the thumping going and a leg in each world. Everybody piles on top of you and the drummer . . . a great place to be!

Many thanks fellow BiaB enthusiasts.

Ray. . . Neil Armstrong feeling? Yeah that fits. Reminds me of that great bass line on "Walking on the Moon" smile

Nicely done, Bass Thumper. Sweet melody and the perfect bass line. Very well built. Don't lose it. You'll be coming back to add lyrics and vocal someday.

Enjoy whatever happens!
