I spent twenty-some years traveling with a group of guys, a vocal band called Single Heart...we sang our songs in small venues (mostly churches, prisons, etc) and we often opened with this song. BiaB has given me the best track to finally rest these vocals in and I appreciate that. It's just a simple chorus and bridge...the appeal for me is in the harmonies and the key changes...hope you all like it! There's a bit of imbalance between the amount of reverb on the vocals and the instruments, so it doesn't quite gel. But - as you said - outstanding vocals and harmonies.

This sounds wonderful. A pro recording. Wonderful vocal harmonies. This is the real deal as far as the genre goes. It must have been fun touring and doing the little shows. That's the life, I suspect, if one is able to pull it off.

Dan,
What a beautiful song! A great opening tune that really sets the mood for a time of worship! The vocals are outstanding! I have also played in prisons (once in Eastern Europe in a place literally within sight of Ukraine) and despite the fact that you have a captive (pardon the pun) audience, those guys really seem to appreciate the music more (not always) than people on the outside! I guess it's because they've had time to reflect on their life choices. I so appreciate all the work you post here because I know it's put together for the right reasons!

Thanks, Torrey Thanks so much Torrey...yeah prisons were some of our best times in ministry...the guys are so appreciative and loved to participate though most were not singers...we had a lead singer once who was a prison singer...he was always "behind a few bars and couldn't find the right key!"...glad you liked the song.

Good choices in the backing tracks you chose. The backing track let the great vocals and harmonies shine. Wonderful arrangement and performance.
