Hello Andi, David, Scott, Block-head, Torrey and Ray,
Thanks for your nice comments, tips and you Dutch (Ray).
I had some doubt if I had to post a 3rd version, but as far as I see, no one complained. Maybe they only keep silent?
Hello Hans
Really amazing what you get out of your song ;-))))
This version is again absolutely brilliant
What can I say.
I have never heard such different versions of a song in this quality.
This should be unique here
Great work Hans
Many greetings
Andi ;-)
Andi, if I had to believe all you wrote, I would walk around like a very proud peacock. But tell you what? I did! Until corona got me...
Thanks for these nice words.
I like it!

That rum was right! Hope you have a swift recovery!
David, you read my whole post and saw what a tiny glass of rum could do. Thanks!
Excellent intro Hans. Piano was a cool choice for the intro. Super vocal and loved the vocal processing. Loved the change in energy in different parts of the song. Well done
Scott, the only bad thing was that I couldn't use a slo from your hand in this one. The piano took the lead. Left no space for more. Only that harmonica sneaked in at the end... Thans again for the compliments!
I love this version... especially the piano track...
This is an excellent production... maybe add just a tiny bit of reverb to the harmonica... Great work here...
And speaking of the harmonica; hi Block-head, normally I add some reverb to all instruments, but here the piano had the lead (and my vocals). But I listened critically to the harmonica and think I will do just what you suggested. Thanks!
Hans,
I love that bluesy soulful vocal delivery! This song picks up nicely as it progresses! Your vocals are excellent! The piano really sounds great! The mix is sounding great also! I always enjoy your work!
Thanks, Torrey
Torrey, I wrote to Andi how I walked around here, for some days, because of his words. I forgot to mention you caused the same reaction although I'm not so fond of peacocks. One flew right in my arms from a tree, somewhere on Krete! It was a female! So I told my wife this is a normal women's reaction to me, no matter what species... She still finds me an annoying brag (my wife, not the peacock). So all these memories came back because of your compliments. Thanks!
It's a cool version Hans,
your voice has an audio halo around it that really isn't needed...the chorus demonstrates a strong voice that doesn't require the FX support.
There's a really loud note on the guitar at 3.05 that "steekt uit als hondenballen" that should/could be tamed.
The forum is really busy but not too busy for one of your songs.
A really good song.
Ray, at first something about the language you used, I meant the Dutch language. 'Hondenballen' don't do that. It's the organ close to it that does such a thing. But I only heard a loud noise about 3;23, but I think you meant that one. To tell you the truth, I was very pleased with that sound (I don't want to mention that peacock again), because it accentuated the start of a new part.
And what you said about my vocals; I listened to them a couple of times and looked in my mix. I think it was the beginning of my illness and that it was affecting my vocals. Not much, but I don't use much fx. Only compressing, reverb, delay, etc, etc ;-)
But I take it very serious and do it again, while ading some reverb to the harmonica, as Block-head wants me to.
A very nice day to you all,
Hans
