Bud here: As likely the oldest guy on the forum I can more than appreciate this! J&B here: We love the lyric, the melody, the band and your performances. I (Janice) am reminded of many of George Harrison's songs that always make me smile, as this one does. Your vocals are great and those counterpoint voices are ace. The chorus should be printed on posters and sold to remind folks of the treasure of each day! "Give it your all, my friend." YES! Those sure are some lucky students to have had you for their teacher.  And the band choices and mix set up a wonderful open soundstage. Great choice of FX! Excellent. All done with teaching? I've got another few years to go. Hi there! Thanks for jumping into the thread and taking the time to give my song a run through. The slow down is done in BIAB. I use two measures and usually drop the tempo of each measure by around 5% of the previous measure's tempo. In this case, the main tempo was 110 bpm. Two measures before BIAB's 4-bar ending, I dropped the tempo to 105 bpm and in the following measure, one bar before BIAB's 4-bar ending, I dropped the tempo to 100. And, yes! All done with teaching. It's a job I thoroughly enjoyed and never got tired of doing. That said, though, it's great to retire. What subjects do you teach? All the best, Noel

G'day mate.... Your unique writing style is always a pleasure to listen to. When I listen to your material it's breezy, carefree and creates a 50's era feeling of childlike innocence. Making me feel "innocent"!....at 74 I didn't think that remotely possible. Well done Noel! Carry on.... Hey chulaivet1966, I love Tin Pan Alley songs from the 1920s to around the 1950s. I also love the early years of pop music in the 1950s and early 1960s. I reckon that some of the best and most memorable music ever written comes from those years. I'm glad you are back. I missed that 'Robin Gibb' vocals of yours. I know you deny it and even told me you don't know who he was, but I heard it again in this very nice song.
You wrote what you did because of covid and I think it has done good things too, like what you wrote. I hoped to hear your (rock) pianoplay, but it wasn't in the song. But it is a cheerful lovely song with good lyrics. And a very good performance!

Thank you for sharing behind the scenes story. Wonderful tune all around. Excellent message. One of the best I have heard by you. Very good vocals and harmonies. Arrangement, composition and mix are top tier.
Critical... hmm a tough one. The only thing I can suggest is working on "clap" and "sticks" which sounds a bit midi and dry, while most other elements are acoustic. In any case, it is a VERY good song. Thank you for sharing.

Good to see you back on the board again. Great to hear that warm, distinctive vocal again. Wonderful write and performance. From a production point stellar, though the shaker is a bit distracting at times, mostly because of where it starts and where it fades out, for me at least . . . and it seems a bit too out in front. An easy thing to tweak if you agree. Love the clapping—nice add! Very sweet tune, Noel!
