I am experiencing an issue where when I copy an audio track and paste it to a utility track the length of the wav file extends and stretches.

For example I will copy 2 bars of an organ section at measure 1 and 2 and when I paste into the utility track at bar 1 the wav file stretches and now becomes 2 and a half in length and now covers bars 1, 2 and half of 3.And the timing of the chord changes are now all off.

Is there a setting I can adjust or am I missing something? Hopefully I have explained my problem clearly.

There's something missing but I don't think we have enough info to see it. Please tell us exactly what you are trying to do. Don't leave out any details. We need to duplicate your method and see if we come up with the same results—or don't.
