There are many ways to utilize MicroChords, but one of the most common ways that may be found would be as passing chords between a chord change. A common instance of this is in a 12-bar blues turnaround, where in the last two bars you might see |D7 / / /|D7 G7 G#7 A7 /| where the chords ascend chromatically from G7 starting on beat 2 to land on A7 for the "and of 2".
