Oh dear, have I confused Quatro Stagioni with Quatro Formaggi again?

Here we have a kind of folk song recorded by an MIT gnurd in celebration of his gnurdiness, tell me this wouldn't be better without the video. Close your eyes to better appreciate the unusual microtonal scalar perturbations and intriguing orchestration – at 0:15, you can hear the gnurd's roommate closing the window, in an interesting instance of attempted audio censorship resulting in musique concrete.
I am a little gnurd in the back I am a little gnurd in the back I have my calculus textbook in my pack I have my calculus textbook in my pack Oo uh what the... ? He wouldn't smoke if he was a runner! No! Look at that! He's dead, Jim He's dead, Jim He's dead, Jim
The reference to smoking is to some thriller movie where the bad guys were hanging out on a trail, dressed as runners, but smoking cigarettes. The joke was obvious, but every gnurd in the house had to flaunt his cleverness by pointing out the obvious. Also, whenever anyone died in a movie, all the gnurds had to say, "He's dead, Jim", like Dr. McCoy on Star Trek.
(I just learned about otaku and it made me think of gnurds.)
To me, each blunting pseudo Victorianism of language needs to be based on its own demerits. I read these things and instantly paraphrase a riff on the appalling pop of post Peter Genesis... "Ps, ps, ps, ps pseudeo"

Here's an opportunity to look at/listen to a video related to a song. Does it help, hinder, augment, detract, provide better sonics etc... THE AUDIO Here's the audio for those who want to make a comparison OR would prefer not to look.

I think it's myopic to make a decision to listen only when a song does or does not include a visual accompaniment. The vision doesn't make the song better or worse.
The O/P's question is:
Quote:
Are you more or less likely to listen to a song posted as a video?
Why should an associated video accompaniment make me decide if I am more or less likely to listen to a song? This actually doesn't make any sense at all.

I actually tried to react the way I would if it weren't in a thread about how I would react, but I'm too self-conscious and it gets all meta so I must recuse myself.
I assume some people decide to use +++ YouTube Music +++ as a streaming music source. If so, then their music source is videos.
Not necessarily.
"With a YouTube Music Premium membership, you can choose whether to listen to your music or enjoy the music video experience. In song mode, you can listen to the music without loading a video. In video mode, the music video will play whenever one is available."
Pedants can't be choosers? In answer to the original question - I'll click whatever is available. If there are options & I know the video is only a vehicle without creative content I'll listen but not look.
