Pocket Rocket
The sun is going down time to get outta’ town
We jump into my car don’t have to go too far
There is a place that’s near where we can get some beer
Going to the river do some damage to my liver
The girls said they would meet us there. I want the one with the long dark hair
Around her neck she fondles a locket. Maybe she will play with my pocket rocket
Creedence on the tape deck spilling beer what the heck
Hoppin’ Gator in the cooler I’m trying my best to fool her
She said I must be trippin’ to think she’s skinny dippin’
She agreed to go bra-less, her body is just flawless
Making out on the hood starting to feel real good
My hands beneath her shirt, hope she does more than flirt
We slid down the river bank, passed right by Deb and Frank
His eyes were closed real tight, hanging on with all his might
Debbie and I made eye contact, her giving me a wink really took me aback
Had that sight in my head and couldn’t block it until my date grabbed my pocket rocket
My girl was real turned on, wouldn’t leave my rocket alone
Deb and Frank had to stare when she tossed her underwear
Her tongue between her lips, slowly wet her finger tips
Kissed me without a glance, freed my rocket from my pants.
Creedence played "Fortunate Son” but I was the fortunate one
Listening to “O, Susie Q”, we began to do the do.
I kept my eyes wide open just a-wishin’ and a-hopin’
I could prolong that feeling of my date wheeling and dealing
It's better than even money if you care to bet, but all girls are pretty once they get wet
She had some trouble trying to dock it, then she she blasted off on my pocket rocket
We made love under the moon promised to again real soon
Had a last beer and kiss, said goodbye to little priss
Looked around for all my clothes, cleared the mud from my nose
Noticed that my lip was cut. Smacked her on her tiny butt.

Excellent song. Cool vocal and backtrack. Guitar break could be brought a bit forward. Vocal was a bit to far out front. Well done..

Nice work!

But you probably need to add a TMI and NSFW flag to the song. wink

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Mixing is still a mystery for me. It seems like each platform I play a song on produces differing levels. Thanks!

grin;-) you might be thinking with the wrong head...
When I was a much younger man, a pocket rocket was another name for a doobie, or a joint... don't ask how I knew that...

Interesting lyrics... Vocal is a little loud & pitchy, and the guitar solo could come up a bit... a good mix takes a lot of work and fresh ears.
Keep at it, and you'll get there.

Certainly an interesting set of lyrics.

Yes, the guitar break could come forward a little.
