Just wondering. I was looking at the choir VSTs thread and as always lots of goodies available with the full retail Kontakt. I went to Kontakt and apparently I have a cross-grade special price (due to I purchased Sonic Scores - Amadeus Symphonic Orchestra previously) of $125. Is this a really good price for Kontakt 6 and am I right that this is the product that will run all those goodies? I did previously buy something that only ran in the full version...

That is the best price you're going to get.
The regular price is $400 if memory serves me.
FYI, for anyone else contemplating making the jump this is the best way to get Kontakt: buy something that qualifies you for the crossgrade price, which is $250. Then you wait for NI's 50% off sale which brings it down to $125.
Apparently, NI is doing it more often; it used to come around only on Black Friday.

Did this exact same thing with a cross over during the sale period years ago. Never regreted and never looked back. Changed my direction in music.

I have been using Kontakt for years and I highly recommend it. I also bought it and most of the sounds I have accumulated over the years for Kontakt via sales.
Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

Does the Windows Kontakt 6 download only include standalone and VST3 or does it also include VST2? The Native Instruments website doesn't say. Here is what they say... "Kontakt by Native Instruments is a Virtual Instrument Audio Plugin for macOS and Windows. It functions as a VST Plugin, an Audio Units Plugin, a VST 3 Plugin, an AAX Plugin and a Standalone Application." I can tell you the Kontakt VST runs well in BIAB the few times I have used it there.
