When generating, CPU is around 40% or so, during count-in it rises to around 60% and it then hovers around 65%.
Does any of this mean anything to anyone? Any suggestions?

Does it gradually drop back as the song continues playing? BiaB generates only as much as is required to start playing the song, and continues to generate more of the song in the background. There is a setting that can be turned off so that the song generates completely before it begins playing. Perhaps try that option and see if your results improve on that machine.
