Country music players will tend to play that 7th on the V chord... they can't help themselves... deal with it. There are many ways to mitigate the issue... just fix it, and "move on with the song"... The OP said himself, he Reason'd a workaround... Don't wait around for a code-writer to fix it... adapt grin;-)again...
