Mais oui  That gave me a laugh. As a teacher I insisted children use may rather than can when asking for permission to do something. Once they'd learnt that lesson I'd confound them when they'd come to me as a pair of group and begin "May we..." I'd interrupt them and ask why they were speaking to me in French OR I'd listen and respond to their question with "Mais oui!" Eventually they learnt other ways to ask or deal with me. I'm a sad case.

As a teacher I insisted children use may rather than can
when asking for permission to do something. As a philosophical linguist, I have to point out that this sentence is ungrammatical without quotes around the words "may" and "can". "Humbug," you reply, "You know what I mean!" SILENCIO (Enjoying the song, BTW! Love electric lead guitar instrumentals.)

Although I can speak and understand -some- French (learned at school and on holidays), I stay with the universal language in this forum ;-)

Anyway, I liked what I heard from you in Carlos amigos.
I read you made this song as a tribute to (Carlos) Santana. That's really nice! I liked a lot of their songs too.
Your song is a nice attempt at that. But what I liked from Santana was the outspoken way tthe solo guitar was played. I missed that a bit in your song. I know it is very difficult to achieve that, but I noticed you can play that guitar very well, so I bet you can come at least very close.
I'm looking forward to your next tribute,
