Almost all definitions come down with #1 being something like "the study of versification".
Your preferred definition is less common and less used because of it's vagueness.
"The set of speech variables, including rhythm, speed, pitch, and relative emphasis, that distinguish vocal patterns."
Wiki isn't always our friend.
My point is that clarity is essential in a critique such as yours.

First off, “Heartless” is an outstanding write . . . and, second, the arrangement sounds pretty darn good too. It has a Counting Crows feel to it—even your vocal is reminiscent of Duritz. Great stuff from the first to last note!

Hi, David. Love the song "Heartless". Excellent write. I agree with the others: I love your songs anyway - they've got a lot of heart, and you're not afraid to be a bit gonzo. But I think this one is just a bit more memorable, and makes me want to hear it again. I also agree that the vocal is a bit hard to hear. It's not quiet, I just have to focus to hear the words. And man, you know I'm the laziest listener on this forum, and I hate to work any harder than I have to.  I like this one a lot, well done!
