I don't think it can hurt to try it and then remove the exclusion if you don't see improvement. How can I approve an app in Windows Defender? Stop Windows Defender from scanning certain files Open the Windows Defender Security Center. Click Virus & threat protection. Click the Viruses and Threats option. Under Exclusions, click Add or remove exclusions. Click the Add Exclusion button.
