Seems like something simple just to show how multitracking is done and involve his audience in it. I doubt he NEEDS to do this to make MONEY? It could have been a for charity event, who knows. Anyway I wish I was in that audience. Very few artists have songs that last as long as the Beatles. I think partly because the babyboom generation was so large even some of the secondary acts of the sixties are still going. But kind of like the Who at the Superbowl - it's more of a nostalgia than a musical event. Looking back at the Beatles it seems like the whole was greater than the sum of the parts.
