That is really a good question and is at the core of making music. The fact that this is new for you is an indication of musical growth. Thats good news.

Chord designations such as CMay7 or Bbminor do not specify the "chord voicing" nor the selection of pitch. As great as Real tracks are, you can not specify chord voicing when using RTs other then to use slash chords to emphasize a bass note or select specific styles or artists who play in a selected manner. Thats the bad news.

But there is more good news. You have full control over the chord voiceing (how and where the chord is played on the instrument) with MIDI. This permits you to place the notes anywhere on the staff or on the instrument and easily put your Bb up an octave.

So my question to you, are you using midi?
