+1 I would definitely use this. Two sets of staves would be excellent for the Melody and Soloist tracks.
Eventually, as all tracks become equal, the ability to select which track(s) could be shown in the Notation Mode and the Editable Notation Mode would be great.
Not sure about the piano roll; it was not mentioned and I don't often use that so I'll leave it to others to make suggestions whether it should be included as the third possible mode. I know some software I saw was able to do different tracks in different colors, but I found that confusing.
For now, baby steps would be fine.
