I was about 12 when we started our first family band...now that was 58 years ago and ever since then my cousin Gene Simmons (yes that's his real name from birth unlike the other guy) and I have been in bands together...long story short this recording is the only one we ever made of just him and I doing all the vocals ourselves (we usually were the harmony singers and others sang the melodies)...anyway, I am thrilled that BiaB came along so we could sing it with some great musicians backing us...the vocals are from tracks we made in 1995.

I changed the tempo and the original tracks were not recorded with a MIDI clock so I had to cut words and stretch them digitally...it took days but...Wow!...that we can do this today is so cool!

So if you do...thanks for listening...Dan

Fantastic!

You did such a good job on adjusting those vocal tracks that if you hadn't mentioned it I would have thought you recorded the vocals to the BiaB tracks. Outstanding job.

Super vocals and mix

You did one heck of a job on this song.

OK, a random thought;
Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?

64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware

It took days I'm sure, but so worth the effort, Dan. A beautifully written song, and you guys present it so well. I can't even imagine where to begin to align these tracks, but you did it seamlessly.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Dan,

I agree that it's great that we can do so much in our home studios that we could dream about years ago! This vocal transplant into the new track sounds flawless to me! For what it's worth, your Gene has a much superior voice to his namesake! One good thing is that when someone googles the other Gene, maybe they will stumble across your music!

This track sounds wonderful with the rich smooth vocals at the center of attention and deservedly so!

Thanks, Torrey

Very cool Dan. I got a Peter and Gordon vibe during some of your harmonies. Gave me a little whoa moment. Vocals and harmonies were stellar. Excellent lyric and backtrack. Well done...
