"Now they need to add "hold' to them so that a microchord could hold until the next microchord (no matter how far away)" Did you try setting the RealTrack to "Held" for the bar you want the micro chords with F5 You can generate up some Holds the take them down to microholds manually. I just added some take markers to get the chord names.
