This is gorgeous.
I hit play as fast as I good on this one, because this is one of my favorite songs.
You three did a great job with it.
The lead guitar part is amazing. I LOVE the bends on the technique. Very Chet Atkins/Jerry Reed. Impressive!
I would love to learn what kind of guitar you were using, and tips on your technique with those bends, effects etc. I would like to learn that sound and specific tone. Really, really good.
You should do a YouTube showing your guitar technique on this. Seriously.

Oh wow. Another superb collaboration. I LOVE Gershwin, so this was a special treat, for me. Janice is, well, Janice ... what can one say about her voice that hasn't been said already, apart from the fact that it genuinely seems to improve (if that's possible) with each song? Peter, your guitar solos and fills are stunning. Bud, the mark of a good mix is, in my humble view, when it's not even noticed ... and this is a brilliant mix, the music just shines, I would never know you were even there :-) Congratulations, all!

Haven't logged in for a while and what a treat first up! I have a treasured vinyl copy of Ella sings Gershwin. It takes a mighty talent and plenty of chutzpah to cover a song made famous by that great lady. Janice duly delivers a delightful rendition that can stand proudly beside Ella's. Wow. Brilliant work from you three.

What A Voice!!!
Cool arrangement. The mix is Stellar. The balance is perfect. Every piece is present and clear, yet warm and supportive (Although at times, John's piano gets a bit "busy"). The vocal sits perfectly.
Peter's guitar sound like it "came with the package". Excellent.
Nice album cover!!
Y'all need to do a whole album like this.

I'm also a big fan of yours, Peter, and your guitar work on this is superb. You know I'm a big Bud fan as well. He brings all of the elements together in the absolutely perfect mix. SO good. So good. You are always too kind Marty ... but I'll take it Bud wanted me to mention that Peter did the mixing while Bud only mastered it. Hi Peter and Janice,
Lovely cover of Gershwin's song.
Well done.
I love Gershwin. Rhapsody in Blue, an American in Paris, his songs, Porgy and Bess.
But most of all his concerto in F!
We didn't know it is allowed to cover his songs.
The information in the Netherlands is, that we are not allowed to cover American artists without permission unless they've been dead for a hundred years at least. In case of music originating from Europe this is 70 years.
This opens up some new possibilities for us!

Whoa- this is such a tough song to sing well- Janice sounds so comfortable and connected to the sophistication of the melody and subtlety of the lyric.
A remarkable vocal performance beautifully accompanied and embellished by Peter`s guitar- some of the best acoustic guitar I`ve heard on this forum.
A superb production is the icing: very well done!

I've always loved this song and particularly Jean Louisa Kelly's version in Mr Holland's Opus.
Janice put her indomitable stamp on this song. One of her top vocal performances. The guitar parts are understated and mesh well with her vocal.
I just put on the headphones and absorbed the song.
Satisfying.
