You can do this already.
Add 3 dots to your chord (ex: Cmaj7... ). That will give you the Held chord (sustained)
Then use F5 (dialog) to mute what you don't want playing there (like the drums)
Don't forget to then use F5 to un-mute the drums when you want them to start up again.
