Hmmmm, I'm not so sure this delivers what the OP is searching for.
With that method, you can have a Shot on the Drums, but other instruments must Rest, not Hold.
Or you can have a Hold, except for the Drums.

But I didn't see a way to have a Shot on Drums and Hold on remaining instruments.

One way to do this would be to record the drums on two different tracks, one with a shot at the required bar, and another playing normally, then use function key <F5> (or Audio Edit) to silence the normal one and introduce the shot only on the required bar.
