I wanted to use diatonic numerics to program a lead sheet but I could not find any BIAB documentation on it.

I went to chat line and asked the question:
"Quick question. I have biab 2022. Can I progran a song with it's diatonic numbers, i.e. I - IV- V or ii-V-I?."
They responded with:
"Under Display Options | Layers, you can select Roman Numerals."

After hunting around, I found it as an icon under VIEWS. Is this the only way to access LAYERS function? Normally there are several ways to get to a function. Also, nothing shows up in help when I search for Chord Display, Is there documentation somewhere?

Yes you can:
1-Click on Chord Display (Ch.Display)
2-Click on Choose type of Chord Display
3-Click on Roman Numeral

Note that minor chords will be displayed as Nm where N is the Roman Numeral.

You can type in chords like I, IIm, VIm, and V7. If you type in the chord names like C, Dm, Am, and G7 the display will be I, IIm, VIm, and V7. Regardless of the display the chords played will be C, Dm, Am, and G7 for the above examples.

If you are in the Classic layout, the Chord Display button looks like this:

Thanks Mario. I appreciate you taking the time to answer.

I assume that if I already have songs formatted in standard (normal) notation and then switch to numeric it will render the numeric notations? So in a jazz tune I might get a bVIIm for a flatted seventh degree?

I didn't test it yet but I will later.

Thanks ... JD
