I was sitting in a doctor's office waiting room and a bible verse popped into my head, that says "Go ye therefore, and teach all nation, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy ghost". I have Samsung notes on my phone, and so I wouldn't lose my train of thought, I started writing and this is what I came up with. This has a Kris Kristofferson feel to it. A really strong vibe in there.
Nicely done.
I could hear the band kicking in on the second verse. But that's minor issue of differing production values.
I enjoyed the song.... nice modulation and loved the ending surprise chords.
I'm always careful what I ask for..... He might give you what you ask but not in the way that you're thinking.

This is a pretty country-like tune. Herb has it right in that Kris Kristofferson would have done this well . . . could also hear Johnny Cash doing this as well. Your vocal, though, does it just fine . . . heartfelt and compelling. Nice production and mix overall. Well done!

Ronnie, this song is a real blessing. You are really on a roll and I love the stuff you've been coming up with. I was very sick here a while back and your lyrics really spoke to me, just a wonderful write. The arrangements were great, though I wish the cello had a little more volume. The ending you came up with was great.

Ronnie...I agree with the Kristofferson reference...the melody is stunning...simple and beautiful...great use of BiaB as you progressed into the full track...you had me with the cello and the modulation is so appropriate in a gospel tune...this is my favorite from you so far and I've loved some of your other stuff...well done brother and PTL!!
