As for the internal sounds they're of no interest to me at all since I already play the kazoo : ) , but I suppose for simply practicing the fingering it's probably ok. Except for the fact that personally I find that if I really like the instrument sound, I am inspired to play much more and much better. Hence the smTrumpet's responsiveness and great sound has improved my playing a great deal.
Which Ketron patches do you like best? It's too bad there are no buttons or a dial to change the patches on the SD2 box.
