moin, irgendwann findet wohl 'jeder' zu BIB ;-)
allerdings weiß ich nicht, in welcher sprache ich bib bestellen soll. ich habe in der vergangenheit öfter die erfahrung gemacht, daß die englischen (originären) sprachen schneller und zuverlässiger upgedated werden als die fremdsprachigen (in sinne der herkunft der software, also deutsch). da ich mit dem englischen keine wirkliche probleme habe die frage:
macht die sprache einen unterschied?
es gibt ja auch software, in denenen sich innerhalb der software die sprache einfach umschalten läßt.

Hallo Horst,
der Support für Biab ist sprachenunabhängig, kontinuierlich und sehr gut.
Die Lokalisierung erfolgt über eine Sprachdatei, die nur die Texte umstellt und ein pdf-Handbuch liefert. Der Programmcode bleibt gleich und die Patches tangieren die Lokalisierung nicht. Neu hinzukommende Features dann ggf. mit englischen Strings bis zur neuen Lokalisierung. Umschaltung deutsch-englisch jederzeit möglich.

hallo ralf, danke,
das klingt sehr gut. das heißt, egal welche version ich kaufe, ich könnte immer zwischen beiden sprachen hin und her schalten. also, wenn das englische (sprachpaket-) update früher kommt, einfach auf englisch switchen.

Updates auf neue Versionen und Patches zur Fehlerbehebung kommen zunächst immer nur in englisch.
Bei den neuen Versionen kommt die deutsche Lokalisierung dann zeitlich immer etwas später und wird über die englische Fassung installiert (oder Du kaufst mit Zeitabstand gleich die deutsche Fassung beim deutschen Vertrieb M3C). Dann kannst Du zwischen beiden umschalten. Bug-Patches, wie gesagt immer englisch, aber da ist die Sprache ja auch egal.
Bei einer künftigen neuen Version, als z.B. das kommende BIAB 2010.5 oder BIAB 2011 kann die deutsche Sprachdatei vom aktuellen BIAB 2010 weiter verwendet werden, bis die neue für 2010.5 bzw. 2011 erscheint. Nur die neuen, zusätzlichen Features der Nachfolgeversion haben dann englische Menüeinträge.
