This has been happening for quite a while now with BIAB Win 923 (and previous versions).
When I go to Select RealTracks/Select Best Chording Tracks (this also may be the case with Solo tracks), the options that are shown as "Best" are almost always the worst. I have to scroll down to "Genre Doesn't Match" to find instruments that are usable.
The Instruments WITHIN THE STYLE ITSELF, don't show up under BEST options, but DO show up under "Genre Doesn't Match". This happens with virtually ALL styles.
More times than not, when I scroll down to find alternate choices for selecting RealTracks, I'll pick one that look interesting from the text in the description window, but I get the N/A warning that the actual audio track for the RealTracks selection I have made is not available.
If the description text is available and the instance of the RealTrack seems to exist in the list of available RealTracks, doesn't that mean that some supporting part of the set of RealTracks I have installed is missing? I never change the target destination for any of the installations I have done.
I seem to be spending a lot of time in the Select Best replacement RealTracks dialog without success.
Is this happening to anybody else or have I missed a step somewhere?
ProfWacko, If the RealTrack itself is not available, then this most probably depends on what BiaB Pak and any additional RealTracks paks that you have purchased.
If you purchased the Pro Pak, then this is the 'essentials', beginners', basic', 'lite', 'starter' Pak, with the least amount of RealTrack and MIDI material.
As an example, Pro Pak has 550+ RealTracks whereas the Ultra Pak has 3,300+ RealTracks
Which Pak did you purchase, and what year is your BiaB?
BIAB & RB2026 Win.(Audiophile), Windows 10 Pro & Windows 11, Cakewalk Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Session Keys Grand S & Electric R, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M, Pioneer Active Monitors.
I have BIAB 2022 build 923 (I think that's right).
And I have installed the All XPro Styles Bundle, and the 2022 49-Pak.
I think my real question is why do I see RealTracks available for selection that are lacking the actual audio file?
1: BiaB 2022 build 923 is the latest version, but (separate to the add-ons you mentioned) that does not provide enough information to know what baseline product "pak" you purchased. When you first ordered BiaB, you had a choice of Pro, Mega, Ultra, Ultra+, Audiophile. The purchase price ranges from $129 to $669. Which one of those did you purchase?
2: Do the RealTracks show as N/A in the RealTracks picker, and/or the StylePicker? or only after you try to use them?
Separately, there's not one single piece of audio for RealTracks. They are made up of multiple different audio samples that are 'stitched' together by the program to provide the audio output that you hear. E.g. folder: bb\RealTracks\Guitar, Electric, Rhythm NashvilleShuffleGritBrent Sw 110 contains 40 separate items that the program individually selects based on tempo, key signature etc to generate an audio output. Hope this is not confusing, but it may help to understand how the audio is created.

Additionally, the program always lists all RealTracks, Styles etc that the program can use. That doesn't mean that they are installed.
There is a filter that allows you to see what RealTracks are available / not available:

And I have installed the All XPro Styles Bundle, and the 2022 49-Pak.
I think my real question is why do I see RealTracks available for selection that are lacking the actual audio file?
The XPro Styles PAKs are Styles, not RealTracks. They are only selected in the Style Picker window. The bonus 49-PAK does have 60 unreleased RealTracks.
To really know if you should expect to have N/A, or should not have any N/As, we need to know the size of your PAK; whether it be the Pro, Mega, or UltraPAK. If you are unsure, you can contact us directly and we can look into your records. Please contact us either through live chat or email support@pgmusic.com.

Yes, that's what I was hoping to ascertain, above.

I do believe this thread has been hi-jacked on an unrelated subject, With no attempts of finding a solution to the original issue. Just an acknowledgement of the same issue from another user.

What? !! Hijacked? Well, maybe there's a first time <just joking, it happens often>. Yes, I agree this slight change of direction might have been better placed in a new, separate thread. Perhaps the poster with the concerns about N/A tracks could start a new thread. Peace, everyone.

ThunderThud, I apologize for my unintentional hijack.
AudioTrack, thanks for the most direct answer to my question, which is the checkbox to show N/A RealTracks. And, thanks for the insight on multiple audio tracks per RealTrack. I'm about to jump in to creating my first style. It looks pretty dark in there, but I have a flashlight. >8]
I bought in at the Pro level, thinking that I would learn to utilize the available resources before jumping in further.
The N/A RealTracks do not appear differently from the available ones in the picker window. They only show as N/A in the mixer track text.
Thanks for the assistance, y'all. >8]
-Jack (looking for the magic checkbox in central Texas)
Jack, excellent. I think you're on your way a little clearer.
