Love the tone and effects on the guitar...it seems to me that the piano is too busy for all that the guitar is doing...I'd love to hear at least part of the song done with perhaps the piano playing sustained chords so it's less busy and we could just enjoy the fantastic guitar work...just a thought.

Eric, I liked both of them but if I have to choose one I would take the bandlab version as a slight favorite.

I was not put off by the piano but Dan's suggestion of having the piano hold some chords would add dynamics and variety to the backing band.

As usual a sweet guitar gone and some excellent chops.

I agree with Mario that the band lab version is slightly better, with higher compression, saturation, and all.
Once again your signature power sound on the guitar. Very nice!

Eric,

Ok, I have to ask. Are you dictating into an iPhone or something with these sentences?? It is hard to read man!!!!! Take a breath!!! smile

Are you really saying you wrote this song for your "Gentile" lady???

Did you mean gentle lady???

Do I have to get out the Old Testament and read Song of Solomon to get it?

Oh, Ok, I see it is non-gentile on Soundcloud. Whew!!!! Close call!!

But, on the positive side, the music is nice!!

P.S. Eric, saw your p.m.! Glad you were able to make the catch!!

smile

A very lovely tribute to her Eric.

As always your playing and tone are wonderful.

Both versions sounded fine on our monitors.

Nice guitar work indeed, reminds me a little of Jeff Beck.
Just 1 small nit. Both versions seem to end abruptly.
Personal preferrence for me is to look at the outro as the aftertaste of a great meal. That last forkful provides the memory.
You might want to consider fading over a couple more bars, or crash out to resolve.
Great job.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.
