So you are romantically strolling arm in arm with the love of your life back to your hotel room with the Eiffel Tower beautifully lit not far away and you hear a band playing outside a small café. As you get closer, you both notice that there are a dozen or so people dancing on the sidewalk. It’s a local French band playing their version of Funk on a stage under an awning. You don’t even need to discuss the matter, immediately the two of you are shaking, twisting and stepping to the groove with the others. smile

PS> Not sure why, but this one was particularly challenging for me to reach satisfaction with, it was a stretch. And there’s not very many places for the bass to “hide” especially in verse 5. Anyway, comments for improvement are much appreciated. Thanks for listening.

PPS> There is a lively and educational discussion (for me) called “Circle of 5ths” happening in the Woodshedding forum. I tried to apply some of this theory to this song.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.
