If I could hear this song every time I turned on my radio, I'd never turn it off. I can't think of a country love song/ballad I've ever heard in my 75+ years I like more than this one. In my opinion, your songwriting is better than Jeffery Steele, Kris Kristofferson, etc. I see you as a modern day Harlan Howard and Bill Anderson rolled into one.
The arrangement is stellar and perfectly fits the lyric. You have the ability to let power and strength in a song captivate and ingratiate its gentle sensitivities.
If I could think of all the superlatives in the English language, I don't think I would would be able find one that would be adequate for your talent. I'll shut up now and enjoy another listen.

All I can say about this song is that it is the best love song I have heard in a long time.

Wow, what a way to say "He's back!!" Floyd, it is great to have you back, and I have to say, man I don't know when you wrote this, but this might be the best thing you have ever written, or that I have heard. At least, it is my favorite. This is not a good song. This is a GREAT song. An ASTOUNDING song. It all comes together here. It is pure, not forced, true to the soul, rings to the human core, feels true, sounds true, and is something we can all relate to. You don't try too hard, but the arc of the emotion is perfect and the poetry is just gorgeous. Man, congratulations. This is awesome. I feel I need to pony up now, and you have stirred my soul, so I am gonna come back with something. You know I will.  Thanks for that, David.... Floyd,
I always enjoy the gentler side of your music the most.
Your voice here is the ideal between strong and tender and there`s a sincerity that is immediately felt.
The lyrics are easily relatable; those closing chorus lines direct and powerful:
"what if I can`t walk on water
is my love enough for you"
Lovely simple arrangement with the fingerpicking guitar coming across crystal clear and the cello a nice touch.
A most enjoyable song to come back to after weeks away from hearing anything new.

Love this track all the way through! Those guitars are beautiful! Your work with the string section is exceptionally good! Super vocals as always but the best thing here is quality of the write and arrangement! What a great song with production to match!

That's a wonderful song.

Bob Much appreciated, Bob... A masterpiece. For me, the lyrics took it over the top. But this is, of course, a masterpiece in every aspect, and from every angle. I've been there ... like many others; but few can articulate it, lyrically and musically, as you have done. In awe; bravo. Thanks, James... I often say "this is one of your best" but this time I especially mean it. This one has just enough of a hooky chorus to keep me humming it later in the day. Plus I love what the lyrics have to say. You've written so many great songs. I once went through your website and tried to whittle out which ones are my favorites, but it turned into a bigger task than I thought. I guess you should make an album for Spotify called simply The Best of Floyd Jane. It would be interesting to see which songs you would pick.
