Hey guys...this is a song that is special to me...it's one of the few that my son, Ian and I have shared together on...I've always liked our first rendition but the track was made completely with keyboards and lacked some realism and feeling...so I restyled it and came up with a different (and better) feel for the piece IMO...it's a song for the church...so, if you do...thanks for listening. Wow Dan. I can see why it's so special to you. That's pretty cool that you've got recordings with yourself and both your daughter and your son. Sure liked that chorus, congratulations on another well written song and the production was outstanding - again.

Beautiful song and performance. Easy to understand its special value to you. Harmonies are superb.

Great song, powerful vocals from both you and your son.
The powerful backing vocals fondly remind me of the song In a Lifetime by Clannad (featuring Bono).

Promising song. Needs more light and shade e.g. another instrument in verse 2, lead breaks and more work.

The Simmons household sounds like such a pleasant and talented place. Yes, Dan, this song is very special for many reasons. Add your son to the memory and the smile broadens. Vocals and mix are spot-on as always. Man, there is such feeling coming through those vocals. Inspirational!!

That's just beautiful...and the chorus is something special with its wonderful harmonies.
And the structure, especially with another chorus after the solo, really works well.

A very nice "subtle" production.
Gorgeous vocals and harmonies. Well recorded and well mixed.
Nice solo - simple and very melodic - what a solo ought to be.

Dan,
Thats a cool chord progression going on in the verses. It really sets the mood for the melancholy feel of the track! The chorus comes in so powerfully! The accompaniment is sparse but oh so effective! Your vocals are perfect and processed pro all the way! What a great song! Man everything you post keeps raising the bar higher and higher! I love the guitar solo played on the keyboard, it sounds great! Your son really stepped up to the plate and delivered also! You're a great musical family!

You and your son sound great together and we know you must be proud to have your son singing with you ... and your daughter as we recently heard.
Good performances, band, lyric, arrangement and mix. Epic all the way around.
BTW, what is the source of the drums? They sounded good and the build with them on the chorus was effective.
